Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there were no free Canada Day concerts or fireworks at Canada Place in or Things took place online and via Global BC last year. In the Canada Day event returns with in-person concerts and celebrations. However, the event is different from what it was before the pandemic.

In the Canada Together event features live performances throughout the day. Food trucks are along Canada Place Way. There are also a few different zones at the event this year.
The area also features exhibits and a variety of cultural demonstrations. In previous years, live entertainment took place on two stages during the Canada Place July 1st event. The Youth Zone Stage, meanwhile, is typically at the north end of the promenade, so on the far other side of the giant building with the white sails. In a typical year on July 1st, there are many other things to see and do for people of all ages between Canada Place and Jack Poole Plaza on the other side of the Convention Centre.
There are street performers, for example, as well as lots of food trucks. Its dates are July 1st to 3rd. Every year except in , and fireworks are launched starting at about pm off a barge in Burrard Inlet a ways off Canada Place.
The show typically lasts for about 20 minutes. If the fireworks return in future years, the best places to watch are from the west and north ends of the promenade deck at Canada Place, as well as from anywhere along the seawall between Canada Place and the north side of the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Of course, being best places, these areas are usually insanely crowded. Other popular locations to watch the fireworks when they happen are along the waterfront in Coal Harbour , from the seawall in Stanley Park, or from Crab Park or even New Brighton Park along the water to the east of Canada Place.

In a typical year there are live performances at Canada Place for much of the day, and thousands of people. In the event returns with in-person activities at Canada Place. There is plenty of live entertainment, food trucks and activities to enjoy. Unfortunately, there are no fireworks displays at the event at Canada Place.
In a festival celebrating Taiwanese culture takes place on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Canada Day long weekend in downtown Vancouver. The Vancouver International Jazz Festival takes place during the week or so leading up to the July long weekend. Free Jazz concerts take place at Granville Island on various days during the festival, but especially so on July 1st itself.

After seeing that there was a lack of media platforms in Alberta for the Latino community, he decided to create a magazine to keep the community informed, and at this point, Soy Hispano Magazine was born, and very quickly turned into the most widely read Latin written media source in Alberta.
After the success of the magazine, a television channel named Soy Hispano TV was launched, providing daily broadcasts. In , Triana was awarded with the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal by the Canadian government for his contribution to Canadian society, and was also recognized in by the Latino Canadian Chamber of Commerce for his social work and entrepreneurial pursuits, receiving an award as director of Soy Hispano Magazine.

ECC provides a one-stop-shop solution for international students who want uncomplicated access to international education. Being a bootstrapping small business growing organically, Sen Rai has embedded diversity and inclusion within the team that comprises 90 per cent of women who were international students. ECC gives a chance to the novice as a new hire, especially ex-international students with internship opportunities.
ECC has recruited international students who were interns as full-time employees. Having immigrated in from India, Sen Rai had an academic degree in hospitality with more than 15 years of experience working overseas. She believes it is vitally important and a social obligation for businesses to give back to the community all that one has learned and earned when one is able to do so to create empowering teams and individuals. In light of the challenges faced by international students with the pandemic over the past years, she had been trying to make an impact by pivoting the business, creating jobs and internship opportunities for international students.
